Something is wrong!!!
The patient has no pulse... Oh! hold on... he does have a pulse! What's wrong with me?!
I can't feel his pulses...
Seriously, whoever said taking pulse is easy should be contact me... For some reason I can't seem to feel the pulses of the patients I saw today... At least not at first go... I can feel my own bloody pulse so why I can't feel the patient's pulse!!!
Follow up:
Once again, we had CPR lessons... I think my seniors are right. By the time we finish the course we could probably do CPR blindfolded... (which is a good thing, I think....:-/) I think some of us today tried to inject a bit of fun in the lesson today by imitating popular medical dramas...
Medical Student 1: "Oh no! We have a code blue!!"
Comes rushing in are 2 other medical students...
Medical Student 2: "Quick! Someone call a code!" In the meantime, Student 1 humps the patient...
Student 3 calls to imaginary nurse: "I need 5cc of adrenaline. Stat!"
Student 2 puts the oxygen mask on and starts pumping air into the lungs of patient...
Student 1 starts to do CPR compressions... then hear a distinct "Crack!"...
Student 2: "Did you guys hear something?"...
Student 3: "Yeah..., I hear no air going into patient cos' someone stops the air compression to ask a stupid question."
Student 2: "No,seriously!"
Student 1: "Hm... for some reason... his chest is easier to pump now... Oh wait... is the red color stuff coming out of his holes normal?"
Student 3: "Um... guys, I think we can call it."
Student 2: "Call what?"
