Help! I'm falling in love with ... Surgery and Anesthesia. I just started my 2 weeks term in anesthesia and had a great day! The anesthetists made it simple and basic. They are also willing to let me bag a patient, put in a laryngeal mask and I got to cannulate as well. However, I do notice that anesthetists have quite a quirky sense of humor. I thought anesthetics would be boring but today has been a real eye-opener for me. It helps that they are very willing to teach as well. I'm really looking forward to the next couple of weeks. The only complain - I have to wake up by 6.30am... There goes my beauty :Zzz One of the patient was actually a prisoner and he was shacked to the bed prior to him put under. But seriously, where is the patient going to run to with his bad leg? I would imagine he would be in great pain if he tries to run... Anyway, till next time...:bye:
