The official countdown before 3rd year ends or rather my final major exam is 12 weeks as of last week. Stress is starting to build up again... It's my last major exam in my medical course before I graduate in 4th Year. But before the major written exam, I still have a clinical exam coming up in about a month... I have just been notified of which hospital my clinical exam will be at... Let's just say it's not a hospital on top of my favourite list...
and it's going to be the 3rd day of the 2 week period for the clinical exam... Sigh... Well, wish me luck...
My neurosurgical term is going well... Last week I finally got to see a open brain surgery... It's really cool... They first map the person's head in 3D and then using a probe in surgery, the surgeon can orientate the patient's head in 3D on the screen which will then correspond to the position of where the tumor is with respect to the probe... How cool is that! Unfortunately, the patient lost a part of the occipital lobe (the part of the brain that interprets sight) but according to the surgeon the patient has already lost part of the sight due to the tumor before the surgery... and he also said that the surgery is not going to cure the patient of cancer but rather is to prolong the life of the patient as long as possible... I later learnt that the patient has a teenage son... How unfair life is...
Well, back to my studies...:bye:
